Summer Flight Camp with
Asheville Hot Air Balloons

Exciting news, Asheville Hot Air Balloons is now offering a flight camp for young people ages 14-18. Top rated instructors from the aviation field will be leading the ground school. Campers will:

• Log 20 hours per week of ground school
• 10 flights as weather permits
• Learn the physics of flight
• Navigational skills…GPS, compass and map
• FAA regulations
• Weather analysis
• Flight systems
• Building and Repair of hot air balloons
• Radio Communications

We will incorporate many other activities to underscore basic competencies:

• Fixed wing exploratory flight
• Zip line
• Hiking and geocaching
• Tethered flight
• Aviation museum
• Flight Simulation

Overnight Accommodations
A Secure location, lodge on 16 acres room for fun and a beautiful mountain setting. All campers stay in the same lodge. Separate accommodations for male female campers. Round the clock adult supervision. Five to one camper to staff ratio plus specialty instructors.
